Federal: Have parameters that will also allow for nonprofits to apply directly for funding. Relax the need for funding distribution through reimbursement. Have intentional strategies that target and support rural communities through the grant allocation process. Activate a Eviction Reform policy for the time frame of 2020-2023 in which evictions will not be reported on credit files.
State: When allocating funding make parameters for distribution of funds statewide. Use local partner agencies to help distribute funds in their communities. Create a Governor's Office of Housing Stability dedicated to distributing technical and financial support to all of Georgia. Implement laws that help with renters rights.
Establish laws and program support for local governments that allow for rules and regulations for the elimination of boarded up houses and blight.
Local: Both local governments team together in applying for funding in relation to housing. Have dedicated staff to assist with service providers and the process. Incentivize the use of tax credits and not tax at the higher evaluations but at the credited level. Use landbanks for new development for low to moderate income housing development.
Community at large: Grassroots movements for housing rehabilitation and development through the community , churches or family and friend groups.
